147  are States parties (have ratified the Treaty)

7 Signatories states (signed but not ratified the Treaty). In 2004, 4 states have adhered to the Treaty : Ethiopia, (12/17/04), Bhoutan (08/18/05), Lettonia (07/01/05) and Vanatua (09/16/05).

40 States are not parties three of which are the 5 UNO 's permanent members (USA, China, Russia). 

In 2004, many non state parties presented voluntary reports about quantities and mines types producted, convertible and storable, thus the localisation of the mined place (Sri Lanka, Belarus, Cameroun, Lithuania, Lettonia, Poland and Ukraine).

Russia, for the first time, made known, mines storabled on its territory.
