Join us as a voluntary worker

Every year more than 450 voluntary workers choose to give their time, skills and enthusiasm to Handicap International. Voluntary workers are the lifeblood of our organization. There are many different roles for voluntary workers and the sheer variety of work at Handicap International means that each individual can find something in line with their experience, interests and the amount of time they can offer.

Voluntary work is...

- “a feeling of being useful when you give your time and share your experience and skills”

- “supporting a cause which is close to your heart”

 - “carrying out practical work alongside a strong, supportive team”

-“having the chance to enjoy the company of others”

-“getting to know how an NGO works from the inside”

-“a way of keeping in touch with the world of work”

-“all about sharing the same values”

 -“getting to know new people”

In the countries where we have international offices

The mission of volunteers in those countries where we have international offices is to represent Handicap International in your area. We ask volunteers to help introduce the work of Handicap International to community groups and the general public and to help raise funds for the organization.

 What do regional volunteers do?

 - Inform and raise awareness about Handicap International in their local area, make presentations in schools, set up;and speak at local meetings.

-  Organize cultural and sporting events

 - Get involved with Handicap International's campaigns at a local level
