Handicap International

Work in more than 60 countries financed

The overall budget for program work remains relatively stable: $47.4 million in 2004 as opposed to $47.4 million in 2003.  Activity in the Middle East / North Africa and in Asia has increased: $2.3 million in the case of the Middle East and North Africa and $1.04 million for Asia. On the other hand, the budget has decreased for programs in Africa and the Indian Ocean area ($-1.4 million), in Europe and particularly in the Balkans (-$1.1 million.)

These figures include funds raised by HI international section offices in Europe and North America.   Handicap International here in the United States has raised almost $500,000 for programs in Mozambique, Cambodia, Iraq and Brazil during 2006, its first year in operation.
