Private funds make up 65% of Handicap International's global resources. The remaining 45% comes from institutional funding -- governments, the United Nations, foundations and so forth.

Handicap International has been committed to developing its private funds for many years in order to be financially independent and therefore totally autonomous in its work.

Sponsors, donors and private partners all enable Handicap International to work in countries in need, independent of the financial policies of national and international institutions.

Because those who are suffering simply cannot wait for public funds to be made available, our financial independence is priceless and it is made possible by the trust shown in us by our donors.  Handicap International seeks to honor that trust through the transparency of our financial reporting.

By donating, becoming a partner or sponsor...you too can support handicap International's work
